Gently shift what your body has been holding
Holistic kinesiology is a natural therapy that explores physical, emotional and energetic stress through gentle muscle monitoring. At Restored Balance®, I work with your body’s innate wisdom to identify the root cause of imbalance, using traditional Chinese medicine, chakra mapping and nervous system cues.
My name is Megan McIntyre. I am the founder of Restored Balance® and a certified NeuroEnergetic Kinesiologist. I’ve supported families, individuals, and children in managing anxiety, chronic pain, emotional overwhelm, and recurring health symptoms. With holistic kinesiology, we look at the whole picture, not just isolated symptoms, and follow your body’s signals to restore balance.

What Happens in a Holistic Kinesiology Session
Each session begins with a short discussion about your current concerns, followed by gentle muscle testing to locate areas of stress.
I may use a combination of techniques, including:
Acupressure points
Chakra and meridian balancing
Emotional stress defusion
Sound therapy (e.g. tuning forks)
Emotional release and affirmation techniques
Your body will guide the process. You’ll stay fully clothed and lie on a massage table while I use light touch and energetic alignment techniques.

Why Clients Seek Holistic Kinesiology
Holistic kinesiology may support those dealing with:
Ongoing fatigue or low energy
Emotional stress, grief or anxiety
Sleep issues or nervous tension
Digestive discomfort or food sensitivities
Hormonal changes or cycle imbalances
Feeling “stuck” emotionally or energetically
Physical pain and discomfort in the body head and neck
Often, people come to kinesiology after trying other methods that didn’t offer long-term relief. This work may help uncover hidden stress patterns stored deep in the nervous system.
Supporting Children and Teens
Children and teens often respond well to holistic kinesiology. It’s gentle, non-invasive and doesn’t require them to talk through everything they feel.
Common concerns I work with in younger clients include:
Behavioural shifts and emotional regulation
Sensory processing issues
Learning fatigue or school stress
Sleep and settling difficulties
For children under 5, I use surrogate muscle monitoring through a parent or carer. I provide a professional and respectful environment where children and parents are supported throughout the session.
After Your Session
Clients often leave feeling clearer, lighter, and more emotionally settled. The results may unfold gradually over several days as the body processes the shift.
Some people may only need one or two sessions, while others benefit from a short series to support deeper layers of change. Many clients attend a few times a year of ongoing stress management. I’ll always follow your pace, never push or pathologise.
Holistic Kinesiology FAQs
-
No. Traditional kinesiology often focuses on movement and biomechanics, while holistic kinesiology addresses emotional, energetic and physical imbalances as a complete system.
-
Your first session is 90 minutes and all follow up sessions usually last 60 to 75 minutes. This allows enough time for discussion, muscle testing, and the application of techniques without rushing.
-
No preparation is required. Just come as you are, comfortable clothing is recommended, and you may wish to reflect on what you’d like support with before we begin.
Begin Listening to the Whole of You
When the mind, body and energy systems are out of sync, symptoms often appear in quiet but persistent ways. Holistic kinesiology offers a space to explore those signals with compassion and clarity.
If you’re ready to uncover what’s beneath the surface and reconnect with your sense of ease, I invite you to begin. Your body already holds the answers and we’ll uncover them together.
