Unlock your child’s potential and help them thrive with targeted kinesiology support.
As a Neuroenergetic Kinesiologist and founder of Restored Balance®, I specialise in kinesiology for child behaviour, helping children overcome challenges like sleep disturbances, fear, and school refusal. Kinesiology is excellent at supporting your child’s nervous system as they grow and learn. The brain is learning and expanding at a rapid rate in these early years, that Kinesiology can address the root causes of behavioural issues through muscle response testing and brain formatting.
Each session provides your child with new tools to manage stress, regain confidence, and excel in school and social settings. I have two children myself and have lived experience to understand your child and help them thrive.
Kinesiology for Child Behaviour – Addressing Sleep, Fear & School Refusal
Benefits of Kids Kinesiology
Kinesiology offers children powerful relief from anxiety and emotional stress, helping transform restless energy into peaceful calm. When children struggle with focus in school, Kinesiology can enhance their learning abilities by addressing energy imbalances and attention. Their academic performance often improves as concentration and memory strengthen.
Through regular sessions, children develop a deeper sense of self-worth and emotional stability. This newfound confidence ripples through all aspects of their lives, from schoolwork to social interactions, not to mention home life! Perhaps most importantly, kinesiology tackles common physical ailments at their source - many headaches, digestive issues, and sleep problems stem from emotional tension.

Address Child Behaviour with Kinesiology
My comprehensive approach supports sustainable change in sleep, fear, and school challenges.
Children can often present with deep fear patterns and when I work with them in a session these are identified and diffused. Fear can be learned or innate and can present in a variety of ways. Retained primitive reflexes, acting out disruptive behaviours, or simply a lack of boundaries for them to feel safe, are all ways in which children express stress through behaviour.
A kinesiology session is very interactive, especially for younger children. I keep it engaging and often ask them to help me hold hand modes or look up acupressure points to keep them engaged.
Older children often like to explore the findings with me and appreciate understanding the process more.
What to Expect in a Kinesiology Session
For Younger Children (0-5 years)
Infants and toddlers are not yet in touch with their emotions, making kinesiology an excellent alternative to talk therapy. For this age group, I use muscle monitoring via the parent or carer as a surrogate while the child plays interactive games. Sessions are under one hour and focus on diffusing stress for improved behaviour, without the need for verbal communication.
For School-Age Children (6-12 years)
Older children actively engage in sessions and often find muscle monitoring fascinating. They enjoy learning how their bodies respond to stress and how kinesiology helps them. These sessions focus on fostering self-awareness, improving focus, and addressing behavioural challenges in a way that keeps them curious and involved. Sessions for this age group are under one hour.
For Adolescents (13-17 years)
Teenagers are a joy to work with as they begin to understand their emotions and navigate pressures such as school, social media, and extracurricular demands. Kinesiology is especially effective for teens who struggle to express their feelings verbally, as the deeper work happens without extensive talking. These sessions provide teens with the clarity and tools they need to overcome stress and achieve their goals.
Why Muscle Monitoring Works for Behavior
Muscle monitoring taps into the subconscious mind, which governs behaviour. By identifying trapped stress associated with a behavioural challenge or physical discomfort, kinesiology provides relief without requiring extensive verbal explanation.
The subconscious mind, though protective, often sabotages growth and learning when overwhelmed. Kinesiology helps release these blocks, enabling children to thrive.
Examples:
Exam Stress
A child overwhelmed during exams may struggle with clarity and focus. Kinesiology clears the stress trapped in their brain, enabling them to think calmly and clearly under pressure.Disruptive Behaviour
A child who struggles to sit still at a desk may have a retained primitive reflex, such as the Spinal Galant reflex, triggered by physical touch. Kinesiology identifies and addresses these triggers.Emotional Expression
When a child lacks the words to express frustration, they may resort to hitting, biting, or yelling. These behaviours often stem from unprocessed emotions. Kinesiology helps diffuse the underlying stress, supporting more constructive communication.
