Unresolved trauma can affect every aspect of life, disrupting emotional well-being, physical health, and overall stability. Stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm are common for those who have experienced traumatic events, making it difficult to function effectively or enjoy life. Kinesiology for post-traumatic stress is a gentle yet powerful way to release emotional and energetic blockages, helping the body return to a state of balance.
I’m Megan McIntyre, a certified NeuroEnergetic Kinesiologist and founder of Restored Balance®. My approach helps individuals suffering from PTSD, chronic stress, and emotional trauma by using muscle testing, acupressure, and chakra balancing to locate and release stored stress within the nervous system. Through kinesiology, it’s possible to calm the mind, regulate the nervous system, diffuse emotions, and support long-term healing.
Kinesiology for Post-Traumatic Stress – Release Trauma, Reduce Anxiety, Restore Inner Peace
Understanding the Impact of Trauma on the Body
Long-term trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can have lasting effects on both the mind and body. Stress stored in the nervous system can contribute to:
Emotional instability – Anxiety, depression, mood swings
Cognitive issues – Memory loss, brain fog, difficulty concentrating
Physical symptoms – Chronic pain or tension, digestive issues, insomnia
Weakened immune function – Increased susceptibility to illness
Nervous system dysregulation – Feeling hyper-alert or disconnected
Kinesiology works by identifying and clearing energy imbalances, helping the body release stress patterns that contribute to emotional and physical discomfort.

How Kinesiology Supports Post-Traumatic Stress Recovery
Kinesiology is a non-invasive, holistic therapy that taps into the body's natural ability to heal. By using muscle monitoring, acupressure, and energy balancing, I work with clients to uncover and resolve deep-seated trauma stored in the nervous system.
Sessions focus on two key areas:
Emotional Stress & Nervous System Regulation – Identifying stored trauma, emotional triggers, and subconscious blocks affecting mental well-being.
Physical & Energetic Balancing – Releasing tension, restoring energy flow, and strengthening the body’s ability to manage stress.
By integrating techniques such as meridian therapy, sound and light therapy and affirmations, kinesiology allows the body to process trauma in a safe and supportive way, reducing its impact over time.
What to Expect in a Kinesiology Session for PTSD
Each session begins with a brief discussion about your experiences, emotions, and symptoms. If you’re unsure where to start, that’s completely fine—I guide the process and communicate with the central nervous system to find where the imbalances are and uncover the root causes of stress.
During an in-person session, you’ll remain fully clothed on a massage table while I use gentle muscle testing to assess where trauma and stress are stored. Once identified, I apply corrective techniques such as:
Acupressure to release blocked energy
Tuning fork therapy or sound therapy
Chakra balancing to restore emotional and stress hormone equilibrium
Breathwork and affirmations to rewire stress responses
and more.
